Why Paws 4 A Break

At Paws 4 A Break, the happiness, health and safety of the dogs and cats is our main priority.

We are a multi award winning business voted for by our clients, other pet related businesses and a panel of judges. We are very proud of these achievements because to us it means we are going above and beyond the expectations of our clients which means we are meeting our mission and values.

We always arrange meet-and-greets before you partake of any services with all prospective owners and their furry companions, to ensure that they meet all our requirements and also that they are confident with the ability and quality of our care.

This type of open play and family boarding with more than one dog at a time is not suitable for every dog, but during a meet-and-greet we can discuss this and see if one of our other services may be more appropriate for your dog’s (dogs’) needs.

We reserve the right not to home board or admit any dog to daycare based on temperament and level of sociability, as every dog’s safety and wellbeing is paramount to us, and we have to make sure that all dogs in our care are a good fit for our environment.

In this scenario, where we feel your dog would not be suitable for a stay with other dogs, we can offer pet sitting in your own home or pet visits. We can also assess your dog to the suitability of a training programme that may help your dog to become more sociable.

We are licensed by DMBC, have regular inspections by the animal welfare officer, are fully insured for your pets and loss of keys and hold public liability insurance.

We all hold current pet first aid certificates and Amanda is a fully certified dog trainer holding many qualifications in dog training and behavior; she also holds an enhanced DBS certificate.

Most importantly, though, we are all animal lovers and are very passionate about our work.
